To consider all training needs in the district and which can be met from within the district and which should be shared with the Regional Training Forum through the Training Officer, Mark Bagnall.
Worship and preaching
A study day was held in the February of 2008 to explore Fresh Expressions of Worship. All who attended were able to engage in each different style offered. It was a stimulating day enjoyed by all and more such events were requested.

Extending Discipleship Exploring Vocation (EDEV)
The EDEV programme is suitable for new Christians and those who have been Christians for many years. It is designed to enable people who feel a sense of God nudging them to do something different or new in response to the gospel to discover what that might be. It is suitable for those who are already active in the Church and are seeking a new or different pathway in Christian Service and for those who are wishing to discern the nature of their discipleship and what God is calling them to do for the first time. Courses run at different times of the year and in different parts of the District.

Candidates and Probationers
Candidates and Probationers committees meet to support, advise and have oversight of those with a vocation to ordained presbyteral ministry at various stages in their journey towards ordination.
Schools Work
We have two Methodist Schools in the Wensleydale Circuit and several lay workers who are welcomed, along with presbyters, into schools throughout the District.
Creating Safer Space
A training framework for Safeguarding, breaking down training into modules and specifying which modules are needed by which personnel. This is a rolling programme over the next three years.
