To encourage the involvement of all God’s people in God’s mission:
working with
- Local Preachers and Worship Leaders.
- Chairs Nomination Panel. This meets when necessary to appoint a new District Chair.
- The District Mission and Development Enabler (including fresh expressions) is Mrs Susan Johnson who is available to work with all circuits, churches and groups who with to develop their discipleship in reaching out to the wider community. (Link to District Officers page for contact details)
- Ecumenical, Public Issues and International affairs
- Ministerial appraisals (ADR) Annual Development Review is a process undertaken by Presbyters, along with three people from their Circuit and a facilitator. It is a guided process that is intended to enable the Presbyter to reflect on her/his work over the previous 12 months.
- Children and young people, students and schools
- Urban and rural life
- Creative Arts
- The economy. This work will be overseen by the District Mission and Development Enabler and the District Work Place Chaplain.
- Women’s Network is undergoing a national review of how it will work to be of most support and inspiration to the Methodist people. The District has many groups that meet regularly to share in fellowship, fun and funds raising events. They are also effective contributors to debates on issues of the day, such as trafficking and Fair Trade.
