Spiritual Direction

Many people find it helpful to talk to someone about their faith and their relationship with God. A Spiritual Director will do just that for you!

Spiritual Directors are people who have been trained in this ministry. They may be ordained or lay, male or female and belong to a variety of Christian denominations. They will meet with you on a one to one basis, usually every 4 – 6 weeks and spend about an hour listening, accompanying, guiding and exploring with you about your life of prayer and your relationship with God and how faith impacts on and shapes your everyday life.

"Let nothing disturb thee,
Nothing affright thee;
all things are passing,
God never changeth!
Patient endurance attaineth to all things;
who God possesseth
in nothing is wanting;
alone God sufficeth".

(St Theresa of Avila)

Reflect - the retreat and spirituality network - has adopted a fresh look, with its new website and Facebook page.

The revamped site showcases details and booking information for all upcoming retreats and workshops, as well as the latest newsletters and articles on spirituality. All of the photos on the website were taken by members of Reflect and show the diversity of retreat experiences on offer.

"Everyone needs the chance to pause in the midst of the craziness of everyday life," said Judith Lampard, Chair of Reflect. "Having space to breathe, reflect and connect with God can make all the difference and we hope that expanding our online presence will help many more people to take up that opportunity."

The new changes are just the beginning: Reflect hopes to explore online spirituality more and more, developing web-based resources and opportunities for spiritual reflection.

Reflect, formerly the Methodist Retreat and Spirituality Network, offers retreat and reflection opportunities for Christians of all backgrounds - find out about membership here.
